6 Common Faults And Solutions For Packaging Machines

During the use of the packaging machine, it is inevitable that there will be malfunctions. The following 6 types of faults are among the more common ones, and they are also easy to solve.

1. Partial failure of the film guide

The film cannot bite into the upper pillow packaging machine heat roller, or leave the heat roller or the ends are not aligned.
Reason 1: The center of the film, the guide groove, the longitudinal sealing roller and the horizontal sealing roller are not in a straight line.
Reason 2: The film guide groove is too inclined.
Reason three: the speed of the eccentric sprocket of the horizontal sealing heat roller is abnormal.
Adjustment method 1: Roll the vertical sealing pillow packaging machine and turn the adjusting knob to the right to increase the pressure, and the film thickness will be stretched. It should be noted that if the stretch is too large, the seal cannot be sealed.
Adjustment method 2: Reduce the pressure of the longitudinal heat sealing roller. If the pressure is too high, the film cannot be clamped in, and it may be extruded.
Adjustment method 3: The vertical sealing roller clamps more than usual, generally 10MM should be clamped at 7MM.
Adjustment method 4: Adjust through the pillow packaging machine. If the two ends are still uneven, bend the guide groove on the side of the film to bend inward.
Adjustment method five: The center line of the film guide groove has an error, and it should be replaced if it is defective in manufacturing.

2. Cutter part failure

(1) The film cannot be cut:
Reason 1: The gap between the movable knife and the fixed knife is not well adjusted.
Adjustment method: There are two short tension screws on the outside of the fixed knife, and two long compression screws on the outside of the fixed knife. When the blade of the movable knife is close to the fixed knife, the film is cut by the sharpening of the two knives. The gap between the blades of the two pillow packaging machine is 1/100MM. When adjusting, the film is clipped and cut by hand while adjusting. When adjusting, the cutter clutch should be disengaged.
Reason two: The cutting blade is broken and broken with oilstone for small use, and the broken blade is repaired with a grinder.
Reason 3: Poor installation of the cutter, poor clutch clutch of the cutter, and disconnection of the positioning key.
Solution: Check all parts carefully and tighten again.

3. Failure of horizontal sealing heat roller

Cause: Poor thermal regulation, insufficient or uneven pressure of the push spring.
Adjustment method: The appropriate pressure and temperature should be selected according to the thickness and type of the packaging materials used. If the sealing temperature is too high, the seal will be white, and the packaging film at the seal will be easy to peel off. The pressure of each heat-sealing roller depends on the push spring. For adjustment, the temperature of the roller is controlled by a temperature controller to control the heating temperature of the heating rod. There are pressure adjustment buttons on the left and right of the horizontal sealing roller, and each adjustment button is composed of a push-pillow packaging machine button and a pull button. If only the push button is used, excessive pressure will be applied to the heat roller, which will easily cause poor sealing, so it should be appropriate Push buttons and pull buttons are used, and two adjustment buttons are provided on the horizontal sealing heat roller to prevent uneven lateral force for adjustment.

4. Failure of the turntable part

(1) The packaged material is mixed into the heat-sealed part.
Reason 1: The bagging time and the heat sealing time are inconsistent
Solution: The dual gear connected to the turntable gear is pushed up to change the meshing so that the material does not fall during sealing. The ideal blanking time is to pack the particles into the bag after the transverse sealing is completed. Don’t change it easily after proper adjustment.
Reason two: the packaging speed is too fast, the material falling time is long and the material is clamped, so reduce the packaging speed appropriately.
(2) The blanking time has been adjusted and it is abnormal again.
Cause: The turntable is poorly fixed, the keys and fixing screws are loose, or the fixing position is incorrect, and the shutter in the turntable is not properly opened and closed.
Repair and adjustment: Fix the turntable in the correct position of the pillow packaging machine, and fix the keys and screws again. After adjusting the opening and closing mechanism of the shutter to the correct position, fix the shutter. In addition, when filling powders with very small particles or mixtures with extremely different specific gravities, it takes a long time to fill the bag, which causes the powder to bite into the sealing part. At this time, the packaging speed should be slowed down to make the number of revolutions. It must be suitable for the performance of the material being packaged.

5. Electrical part failure

(1) The heat-sealing roller current is too large or the fuse is blown
Reason: There is a short circuit in the electric heater or a short circuit in the heat-sealed circuit.
(2) The heat sealing roller is not hot
Reason: One electric heating wire is blown, two fuse is blown, three temperature control is faulty, at this time, set different temperatures and the traffic lights do not jump.
(3) The temperature cannot be controlled automatically, and the temperature is too high
The first reason is that the thermocouple is in poor contact with the roller or is damaged. The second reason is that there is a fault in the temperature controller.
(4) The photoelectric position is not accurate for the pillow packaging machine
Reason 1: The fuse of the controller is broken, or there is an internal fault.
Reason 2: The packaging paper is not installed properly, so that the bidding center does not pass through the center of the photoelectric head aperture.
Reason 3: There is dirt on the photoelectric head.
Reason 4: The sensitivity knob is not adjusted properly.

6. Failure of the organization itself

(1) Some institutions cannot be activated:
Reason 1: The motor and wiring are broken: connect the broken wire, if the motor is faulty, replace the motor.
Reason two: the fuse is blown: replace the fuse with equivalent ampere value.
Reason 3: The connecting screws and keys of the gear are loose: re-tighten the loose screws and keys, starting from the motor, and checking in the order of transmission.
Reason 4: Foreign matter falls into the gear and other rotating parts. At this time, the motor produces abnormal noises. If you do not deal with it in time, the motor is easy to burn. Take out the foreign matter.
Reason 5: The foreign matter falls into the cutting knife of the pillow packaging machine, and the two blades are too tightly matched: Take out the foreign matter. When the two blades are matched too tightly, the gap should be increased appropriately.
(2) The horizontal sealing heat roller does not rotate
Reason: The bearing part of the hot roller is not filled with oil, causing burnout and locking, and the gear fixed lock ring and key are disconnected: oil should be injected into the hot roller, and the gear fixed lock ring and key should be tightened again.
